Beauty: Kate Moss lipstick // shade '107'

So as all you bloggers know this Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the shade '107' is a well hyped up lipstick. I finally followed after much debating because I'm not usual a very 'adventurous lipstick girl' and bought it a few weeks ago now. I'm really glad I did though as it's a beautiful deep plum red with deep berry undertones running through it, and it's perfect for this time of year so I can see why it's a much loved shade. I love the sleek red packaging on it with the Kate sign and think it looks a lot more expensive than it is, and sits looking beautiful on my beauty table alongside my MAC lipsticks!
So this lipstick is everything I expected it to be - a very bold statement lip and a gorgeous rich deep colour. It's a matte lipstick so I find it is a lot drier in texture than my beloved MAC lipsticks but still not too drying to show up my dry lip flaws (I must remember to wear lip balm). I found the staying power was a good few hours before budging but that doesn't bother me at only £5.49 each. There are some other gorgeous shades in the Kate Moss collection and I'm pretty sure I will be adding them to my collection. Since starting to blog I've became a lot more adventurous with colour and now love buying new lipsticks and eye shadows- something I wasn't too bothered about before. I used to be a foundation and bronzer fanatic but I'm enjoying trying out new things! Sorry about the picture I hate taking 'selfies' but also know to show the shade off to it's true colour you bloggers would want to see it on for those of you who haven't got the shade yet, I was just wearing BB cream and that's it, so just popped this on to show you the look ha!
Do you have this shade? What do you think?

Beauty: MUA Lip Power Pouts

Ever since Clinique brought out their lip chubby sticks many other make-up brands have been quick to follow such as Revlon, MUA and most recently Bourjois.  I originally wanted to purchase the Bourjois Lip Boost crayons but at the time I was a bit strapped for cash and couldn't justify the price of them, and then I spotted these MUA ones in Superdrug which were only £3 each and so I couldn't resist.
The two shades I picked were 'Justify' which is a lovely peachy coral colour, and 'Rendezvous' which is a lovely pinky/brown shade.  I would say the formula of the power pouts is a bit like a creamy tinted lip balm but with much more pigment in them.  They are a lot more pigmented then I expected for the price and give a lovely dewy effect on the lips.  They are also super glossy and moisturising which makes it perfect for day wear. Also, they are not drying so thankfully don't make any dry cracked areas stand out.  In terms of staying power I would say they last around 4 hours before needing re-applied which doesn't put me off them as they are easy to quickly re-apply like a balm.  I'm yet to try the Bourjois ones but I'm sure I will be soon.  Since reading reviews for the Bourjois ones though I actually think these are just cheaper versions of them with the same pigment/staying power...and what girl doesn't love a bargain?
Have you tried these and love them just as much as me? Let me know!

Winning a MAC lipstick!!!

Hi beauties, I just wanted to share with you the fabulous prize I won from the lovely Katie for her blog (check it out here) reaching 100 followers.  Well done! The prize was to win a MAC lipstick in any shade from the main collection, I was so excited when I found out I won...I never win anything! ha.  Before winning this I currently only had 2 MAC lipsticks in my collection - 'Impassioned' and 'Hue', and after lots of browsing on the internet I decided to get 'Crème D'Nude' as I was looking for a pale peachy colour and this one is always in their 'bestsellers' section.

Sorry for the photos I am itching to get a camera for blogging but have to wait until September when I finish uni and start my job...booo! I absolutely love this colour and with being on a four week study break from uni I have literally been wearing this everyday since. It's hard to describe but the colour seems like a pale peachy pinky beige kind of colour (ha that summed it up eh!?) I do love MAC lipsticks but have noticed the price creeping up and up lately..what's with that? I also can't wait until September when I finish uni and start my job to go on a massive MAC spree...I'm really keen to try their paint pots as well because I have heard so many good things about them.  Let me know if you have any other MAC lipstick or paint pot shades that I should buy!

And thankyou Katie for my MAC lipstick!

Beauty: MUA Lip Boom

Hello beauties...how lovely has the weather been? I've been off work since Tuesday and been sunbathing in the garden and got quite a nice little tan, lets just hope it stays like this over the weekend so everyone can enjoy it :)  Today I'm reviewing this lip boom in shade 'OMG' which is a beautiful summery coral shade which I fell in love with and had to buy!  This was made in collaboration with Alexandra Burke (X Factor) with MUA and retails at a tiny £3.  MUA describe it as a lipstick and highlighting gloss that creates fuller curvaceous lips for a dramatic illusion of volume.  You can wear it four different ways-the lipstick only for a matte look, lipstick with the gloss in the middle to create fuller lips, the lipstick with the gloss all over for a sheer finish, or the gloss on its own for a sheer pearl finish, and it comes in 8 lovely shades to choose from.
When I first opened it I didn't expect much for the price...and I thought it looked quite drying but I couldn't have been more wrong as once applied it is a great creamy moisturising matte lipstick.  I think it will be great to brighten up an outfit for those lovely summer nights in the pub we will all soon be enjoying.  I think this coral shade is great and I'm really impressed with it so going to buy some different colours in it next time I'm in Superdrug.

Just a quick review tonight ladies
